SSAA 2019 Air Rife Field Target National Championships

Program

Friday, June 21: 9am until sundown practice range open for sight-in and tuning (R/O dependant).

Saturday, June 22: 6am practice range open; 9am 100 shot (2x50) Open Air Rifle Field Target.

Sunday, June 23: 6am practice; 9am 1×50-shot Open Springer Air Rifle Field Target. National Discipline Sub-Committee meeting will convene at the completion of each day’s events.

Nominations

Fees: Friday no charge, Saturday and Sunday adults $30 per day, juniors $15. Enter early and supply name, address, phone number, branch, events entered, grade (if known) and if sharing rifles. Due to the structure of this competition there will be a maximum of three people allowed to share per rifle. Rules

RSVP by Monday, June 10 using the registration form available from the National Discipline Chairman. Site Conditions: No animals unless documented help-pet, no trail bikes or ATV/recreational vehicles, no motor-driven watercraft unless approved by SSAA Qld Committee. Grading: Please bring grading cards (ungraded competitors will shoot as ‘ungraded’ as per SSAA Field Target Guide and graded accordingly post-match). Medals in all grades including juniors and teams as per current rulebook. Note: As this is a National Championship, competitors are reminded results may be used as selection criteria for future international team selection. Interested competitors are reminded that in order to qualify for team selection they must compete using International Class rifles ie: Sub 12ft lbs/16 joules muzzle energy. Prizes

National medals in all grades. Classes to be contested: Open Air Rifle, International PCP, Open Springer, International Springer.

Facilities

Camping and lodgings: Competitors do not pay camping fees on competition days. All other forms of accommodation charged per night including competition days. Non-shooting guests pay standard accommodation/camping rate. On-site camping with access to amenities $10 per adult per day, juniors half-price. Lockable units have two single beds, wardrobe and air conditioners with one bathroom/toilet per four units. Linen supplied but no towels $25 per person per night twin share basis or $35 per person per night single occupancy, juniors half-price. Bunkhouse (shared accommodation) adults $12 per night, juniors $6 plus linen. Meals and basic canteen facilities available dependent upon demand. Competitors and paying guests will have access to kitchen and barbeque. Captains Mountain Roadhouse (15 mins drive) has a comprehensive menu and there are cafes and supermarket in Millmerran (25 mins drive).
