On your marks for the 2018 SSAA SHOT Expo

It’s almost that special time of year again when all the biggest and best firearm brands and retailers gather under one roof for the SSAA SHOT Expo. This year, the Expo will be visiting Sydney on June 23 and 24 before heading west to Perth on October 13 and 14.

More than 160 exhibitors will display their finest wares in Sydney, with many offering special SSAA SHOT Expo prices – it’s generally easier for a lot of exhibitors to sell their stuff on the day for a bargain price than pack it up and take it back to the warehouse!

But even if you’re not in the market to buy, there’s still lots to see and do. Demonstrations and Q & A sessions with experts on equipment, gear and techniques will teach you something new, while talks by politicians and sporting superstars will inform and entertain.

Dishes from the SSAA Field to Fork Cookbook will inspire, and the ever-popular SSAA Working Gun Dog demonstrations are sure to impress. Children are welcome and there will be plenty to keep them amused, including having a go at the SSAA Indoor Shooting range and archery range.

Show-goers will also be pleased to learn the Expo has now expanded to cover all three buildings at Rosehill Gardens Racecourse. This means there will be more entrances and much smoother flow throughout the event. Also, exhibitors will have larger displays compared to previous years.

As we get closer to the big event, keep an eye out for pre-purchase offers you can make when you buy your tickets, such as Winchester’s very popular gun bags, available for now (two Winchester gun bags for $35) when you buy tickets online.

The SSAA SHOT Expo really is Australia’s premier event for the sports shooting industry, and brilliantly showcases shooting, hunting and outdoor gear to enthusiasts, those wishing to participate in the sport, and the general public, with the view of improving public awareness, professionalism and safety. It has also become a landmark event for the shooting community in Australia and generates a lot of media interest while giving Aussie shooters the chance to get together.

Tickets give you access to the Expo across the entire weekend, so you may come and go as you please, and with tickets just $20 for SSAA members, $25 for non-members and $40 for a family pass (two adults and two children under 16), plus free parking, it’s a weekend that doesn’t have to break the bank.

We recommend securing your ticket online to beat the queues and go into the draw for the chance to win some awesome prizes. Visit the SSAA SHOT Expo website for more information on who’s exhibiting, what’s on, how to get there and buy your tickets. Make sure you ‘like’ the event on Facebook too, and let us know you’re coming. We hope to see as many of you as possible at the Rosehill Gardens Racecourse on June 23 and 24.
