Nioa TV teams up with SSAA for junior course

During the recent summer school holidays, Nioa TV teamed up with the SSAA to run a Junior Safety Course for 16 junior members on a property in Warwick in Queensland.

Topics covered included identifying a firearm, firearm actions and categories, ammunition types, social responsibility and safety, storing a firearm, legal aspects of firearm ownership, how to apply for a firearms licence, firearm and hunting etiquette, and basic gun safety procedures.

As Matt Williamson from Nioa says, if you or your child wants to get into the shooting sports, a dedicated safety course is the first step towards getting a firearms licence. Find out more about these courses from your SSAA State or Territory branch today.
