The new government is well and truly up and running and the SSAA is pleased to advise that SSAA National President Geoff Jones will be attending the next meeting of the Firearms Industry Reference Group (FIRG) with Justice Minister Michael Keenan early next week.
The FIRG is set to discuss the ongoing National Firearms Agreement (NFA) review, with the SSAA again taking a seat at the table as the biggest organisation representing licensed firearm owners. This follows a series of productive meetings between SSAA National CEO Tim Bannister with both the Prime Minister and Justice Minister’s offices a week ago.
The SSAA stands by our original statements put forward to the Justice Minister at the commencement of the NFA review in August 2015, with our full submission readily available for members to view.
